Build Engineer
MailGate SC is looking for a talented Build Engineer to join our remote team and growing business. MailGate SC is in use by numerous high-profile customers in both US and Europe and has been in development for more than fifteen years. Its unique technology stack combines Java and C++, MySQL and Cassandra NoSQL, Apache and WildFly (aka JBoss). The product can be deployed both on-premises and in the cloud, AWS or Azure.
This is a remote position, but the candidate would ideally be based in Sofia, Bulgaria to meet in-person with the team when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and manage installed systems, their packages and infrastructure.
- Establish, configure, test, and maintain OS (SLES), system management tools, and application software.
- Plan and implement systems automation.
Qualifications:
- Experience with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES).
- Experience with RPM Package Manager and Zypper/DNF.
- Composing custom Linux distributions for VM, Cloud VM's.
- Experience with Shell scripting (Bash, Perl).
- Experience with build tools, such as Ant and Maven.
- Good knowledge and experience with Jenkins, Gitlab CI, Ivy, Artifactory (Jfrog).
- Knowledge of Apache Web Server.
- Experience with: Network protocols, File systems (ext4, btrfs, NFS, CIFS), MS Exchange, LDAP, SSL.
- Decent database knowledge (MySQL, Cassandra).
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with implementing and maintaining best Security practices.
- Very good command of the English language - both written and spoken.
Nice to have:
- Some programming experience (C++, JAVA).
- Common cloud knowledge (AWS, Azure).
- Experience with virtualization – VMware ESXi, Hyper-V.
- Experience with: Network protocols, File systems (ext4, btrfs, NFS, CIFS), Azure Blob Storage, S3, MS Exchange, LDAP, SSL.
- Experience with MTA software (Postfix, Sendmail, or OpenSMTPD).
- Knowledge and experience with Wildfly Application Server.
